Studio for architecture and design

about our studio
We are a family-run company that was founded by Gert M.Mayr-Keber in 1979 and now hast more than 40 years of experience. Our studio offers our clients competent advice, project development, realization and professional representation. Thanks to the expertise we have built up over decades, we are able to make realistic assessments for construction projects or renovations. Architecture is not a consumer product, so long-term thinking in respect of sustainable investments is always the basis of our basic considerations. We also see it as our obligation to appropriately address the social dimension of building activity in our work with our clients.
Through the respectful handling of historic substance, especially in context of listed buildings, we were able to design museum shops in Schönbrunn Palace, the Belvedere and also the Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna. We also implemented the provisorial installation of the Federal Artothek in the Lichtenstein Winter Palace. We gained additional experience with more than 70 lift installations and extensions in the residential complexes of the "Red Vienna". After incorporating a lift and modifying the entrance area in the listed town hall of Klagenfurt, we are currently working on the roofing of its courtyard.
We understand architecture as the art of building, that not only serves pure functionality. Therefore, the other arts are also very important to us and we have been able to realize projects in collaboration with Brigitte Kowanz, Gerald Rockenschaub, Martin Kaar, Michael Pühringer, Ona B., Hannes Mlenek, Julian Taupe, Maina Schellander, Ingeborg Stobl and Manfred Erjauz.
